Begnas Backpacking Course
The First, in the series of outdoor projects. This project was held in the vicinity of Begnas lake. A 3 day project organised to kick-off outdoor education project allowed us to understand and put to practice our idea of what the students would like and dislike. This would lead us to find the accurate length and tweak the content taught to the students as well. It was also important to get to know how outdoor education would be appreciated by the students and the school.

Mardi Backpacking Course
Following the success of the first pilot course. We were able to gain the support of the school who shared positive views about the course in the community. We were approached by local officials who wished for us to organize a similar course. In order to spread awareness of outdoor education to as many students as possible rather than focusing one many student from one school. We decided to bring in 2 students from 10 schools.

Rock Climbing & Caving Course
The Maya Backpacking course lasted for 5 days in the Bandipur Area which included 12 students in total. We got hand in hand with the volunteers of Maya Universal Academy and kickstarted the course. This time, we also added some of the new outdoor curriculum in the course which were Rock climbing and Caving, and we were concerned that it would be too difficult for them but surprisingly, they loved the challenge and enjoyed it.
Since the course conducted in collaboration with Maya Universal Academy and Freedom Social Foundation, the course got the name “Maya Backpacking and rock climbing course.

Basic Canyoning Course - Sikles
Our second Basic canyoneering course was conducted from the 9th to 12th Nov 2019. We were delighted to have senior instructor Rich Carlson from Canyoning Group International join us for the course. The main goal of the course was to expose students to adventure tourism through canyoneering so that they are aware of the adventures tourism industry if they wish to pursue a future in this field. The students were able to complete the ultimate goal of canyoneering down a waterfall by themselves. Our team received a tremendous amount of support from the Annapurna Conservation area – Unit Conservation Office, Sikles in terms of the logistics for the students and our team. We Thank Roman Evarts, Sean Bardy, Lindsay Owens, Dinesh Lama, Rajip Tripathi and Thakman Gurung for bringing their professional experience for the benefits of the students as volunteers.
